Lynn Kiefer
Lynn Kiefer was born and raised in Lake Lenore, Saskatchewan and currently resides in Saskatoon. Lynn began painting as a pastime while she stayed at home with her young children. Now that her children are grown she is putting the majority of her time into painting and part of her time into hand-carving cement pieces. Lynn uses simple forms and shapes, and the deep color and texture of the acrylic lends itself well to her visceral interpretation. Lynn enjoys painting anything from figures, things in nature, and objects, and tends toward the contemporary, modern, and abstract. She also paints a lot of large pieces suitable for the expansive walls of businesses and contemporary homes. Some of her work is painted on wood “boxes” which adds another interesting dimension.
