Betty Aasen (nee Brophy) is a self taught artist living in Saskatoon who grew
up on a farm east of Spalding. Her rural upbringing was the inspiration
behind adding actual wheat heads and stems to many of her textured works of art. Betty also makes use of plaster, metallic paint, and stained glass to give her works a stunning one of a kind contemporary look. Her pieces have been showcased onstage at Homestyles and in many show-homes in and around Saskatoon. Betty has been the featured artist at Esteem for the Home – Décor and Gallery since March 2009. Also, Betty has teamed up with the owner of Esteem for the Home, Kris Kershaw, to create one of a kind textured Wallscapes in homes and businesses. Betty creates works of art with the hope that the pieces will bring much happiness to others. Betty is a proud supporter of many charitable causes and organizations in Saskatchewan such as the SPCA and The Saskatoon Zoo Foundation. For more information please contact Betty or visit Esteem for the Home.
