Kimberley Schmiedge (nee Babiuk) is a Saskatoon born artist. She currently lives in Saskatoon and teaches art, photography and design to high school students. She enjoys traveling, and then recreating those experiences in her paintings and drawings. Kimberley started painting in the late 1990’s after finishing her BA and BEd. Prior to this, most of her work was photographic or black and white drawings. She enjoys being able to produce visually pleasing works that evoke a sense of the location. Most of her paintings are realistic representations of landscapes. A few works are created using flowing brush strokes to have a more impressionistic style.
